Tapestry Education Partners strengthens early learning communities by supporting educators and families through relationship‑centered professional development, parenting education, and leadership skill building rooted in curiosity, connection, and current best practices.

Tapestry Education Partners was created during a time of transition. When the Child Studies department at Bates Technical College closed, we knew the work couldn’t end there. Our connection to the cooperative preschool and childcare community—teachers, parents, board members, Directors and the many students we taught over the years—had woven together something meaningful, something worth continuing. Rather than letting that community fade, we chose to build something new. Tapestry Education Partners exists to strengthen early learning environments through relationship‑centered professional development, parenting education, and leadership skill building. We support cooperative preschools and childcare programs with hands‑on, research‑based learning that is practical, accessible, and immediately useful for families and teachers. Our goal is simple: to empower the people who care for young children by providing the training, guidance, and community they deserve.

We believe that strong relationships are the foundation of meaningful learning—for children and especially for the adults who support them. Teachers, parents, and board members thrive when they feel connected, respected, and equipped with practical, research‑informed tools. Our work is grounded in inclusive, multicultural perspectives and designed to make complex early childhood knowledge accessible, usable, and relevant. We create learning experiences that honor the unique strengths of each preschool community and empower adults to lead with confidence, curiosity, and compassion.

Relationships Build Learning — Trust and connection help adults grow, collaborate, and support children more effectively.
Inclusive & Multilingual Perspectives — Adult learners benefit from approaches that honor diverse cultures, languages, and identities.
Research‑Informed & Practical — Teachers, parents, and board members deserve tools grounded in evidence and made usable in real‑world settings.
Hands‑On, Engaging Learning — Adults learn best through active participation, reflection, and experiences they can immediately apply.
Community Strength — When adults learn together, the entire early learning community becomes stronger, more resilient, and more connected.

We envision early learning communities where teachers feel supported, parents feel empowered, and board members feel confident in their leadership. Through accessible, research‑based, and relationship‑centered learning experiences, Tapestry Education Partners helps adults grow together so children can thrive.
